The Role:

The Human Resources Associate will be responsible for supporting a variety of Human Resources functions for the organization, including recruiting and onboarding, benefits and compensation, policies and procedures, learning management and professional development, and culture and engagement. This individual will report to the Human Resources Senior Manager as a part of the growing Operations Department, which is responsible for ensuring that the Alliance has the people, processes, and platforms to optimize organizational health and achieve our mission. This position may be a ‘Senior Associate’ depending on a candidate’s qualifications and experience.

We expect this individual to adhere to the Alliance’s hybrid work schedule, working both remotely and from our office in Bala Cynwyd, PA.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Recruiting and Onboarding
    • Communicate with and track candidates; manage job postings, interview scheduling, reference checks, and background checks; screen and interview candidates
    • Create and organize recruiting files, folders, and documents
    • Edit and proof job descriptions
    • Assist with onboarding and orientation tasks
  • Benefits and Compensation
    • Co-administrate the organization’s benefits platform, including adding new hires to our benefit plans and assisting employees with system support
    • Research and document compensation and salary data within the market
  • Policies and Procedures
    • Collaborate on the creation of organizational policies and procedures
    • Edit and revise policy and procedure documents as organizational needs change
  • Learning Management and Professional Development
    • Research and demo Learning Management Systems (LMS) for the organization
    • Co-administrate the organization’s LMS once implemented
    • Research and compile professional development opportunities for staff
  • Culture and Engagement
    • Implement initiatives that create a strong team culture and inclusive environment
    • Collaborate on team-building events, organizational learning sessions, and organizational functions to help increase engagement and morale
  • General
    • Co-administrate the organization’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
    • Collaborate with Operations team members on other organizational initiatives

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Experience
    • 2+ years of experience in the Human Resources field, preferably in Recruiting, Staffing, and/or Talent Acquisition
    • Experience using BambooHR or a similar HRIS platform
    • Experience using Google Workspace (Drive, Calendar, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
    • Familiarity with HR policies and practices is preferred but not required
